Minco pitcher traveling to play in 12U FASA World Series

Minco’s Taylen Redinger and her softball team, the OK Xplosion played nine tournaments this year and her team came away with four tournament wins, a second place and a couple of third places in 12U Softball.
The team is made up of girls from the Moore area with the exception of their pictures, Taylen and Emma Jackson of Choctaw.
One of the team’s third place finishes were earned after playing up in the 14U age group. OK Xplosion has earned the 12U USSSA State Championship played in Moore and the 12U FASA State Championship played in Chickasha. The girls played in the Firelake World Series in Shawnee and came away in third place.
The team heads to Branson, Mo. on July 24 for the 12U FASA World Series, which is played until July 31.
Taylen is the daughter of Heidi Cowan of Minco and Michael and Jenny Redinger of Alva. Her grandparents are Mark and Carrie Massey of Minco and Curt and Deanna Laverty of Slapout and Don and Pam Redinger of Edmond.
