Choctaw’s Touchdown Club is set to host fourth annual Blue & Gold Extravaganza August 13 4-8 p.m.

Every year the day begins with a community cleanup, followed by a carnival at Choctaw High School and ends with a preview of this year’s Yellowjacket Football Team.

The free carnival event will be at the High School in the parking lot west of the football stadium.

This is a community-wide event so the Touchdown Club is looking to have local vendors, CNP district school clubs and organizations participating.

This extravaganza, like in previous years, is expected to be a great community event with thousands involved.

The morning of the event, all High School clubs, organizations, teachers, coaches and any community volunteers who wish to participate, will come together for a city-wide trash cleanup.

“In the spirit of the Touchdown Club partnering with school groups and giving back to the community, there is no charge for admission, booths and set-up will be FREE! There will be food trucks, live music, “carnival-type” games, handmade items, clothing, and Yellowjacket items and apparel for purchase at the event. Admission is free for everyone,” said CHS Touchdown Club representative Tarah Clark.

“We expect a large amount of families coming out to this event as we will be announcing all CNP district little league football players and cheerleaders prior to the Blue & Gold Football Scrimmage that will start at approximately 8:30. We welcome the community out to take a look at our 2015 6A Academic State Champion Football Team.”

Admission to the carnival and scrimmage is FREE.

Vendor booth registration forms must be submitted by August 1.
