Free Golf Clinic scheduled
A free golf clinic has been scheduled for July 30 at Choctaw Creek Golf Course.
PGA Golf Professional Jim Woodward will be on site to give free pointers beginning at 8:30 a.m.
After qualifying for the PGA in 1990, Woodward still competes in Champions Tour tournaments.
The PGA of America, established in 1916, comprises 27,000 men and women professionals with one singular goal in mind – to make the game of golf more enjoyable for you.
BCM Fall Baseball Registration Now In Progress
Choctaw’s Bouse Sports Complex is now taking team registration for fall baseball leagues.
Team registration is $300, and daily gate fees apply.
The fall 5U TB , 6UTB , 7UCP, 7UMP, 8UCP, 8UMP, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U leagues run Sept. 6 – Oct. 28.
BCM will schedule games on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and if necessary Wednesday–depending on the number of teams.

Annual ‘Twi-Nite’ Golf Tournament scheduled
The Rotary Club of East Oklahoma County has planned the annual Twi-Nite’ Golf Tournament for Aug. 19 at Choctaw Creek Golf Course.
With a 5:30 p.m. tee time, the first nine holes will be played in daylight and then the second nine holes tee off at 9 p.m. for a unique and fun golf experience.
Four or five person teams are welcome to register now. Five person teams must have a female player.
The tournament is $100 per player, and includes dinner.
Many sponsorship opportunities are also available ranging from $100 to $1,000.
This is a major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of EOc, and all proceeds are used to support humanitarian efforts in our local communities.

Chamber Golf Tournament slated
The annual Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament has been scheduled for August 26.
As always space is limited. Only the first 36 teams will be accepted.
The annual golf tournament is a major fundraiser for the chamber, which works to promote existing business members and bring new businesses to the Choctaw, Nicoma Park and Jones area of eastern Oklahoma County.
Sponsors, volunteers and promotional items are always needed.

Ace Race Disc Golf Tournament
The Harrah Parks and Recreation Department will host an Ace Race Disc Golf Tournament August 6 in Harrah Heritage Park.
Harrah has hosted the growing Harrah Open Disc Golf Tournament since 2011, and partnered with the Oklahoma City Disc Golf Association in 2015 to bring the Ace Race to town.
Last year’s event had about 100 participants, and this year’s event could attract more competitors to Harrah.
Check in is 8 to 9 a.m. and each players will compete in two rounds of 18 holes.
Entry is $30 and includes two Discraft discs, a shirt and other promotional merchandise.
Ace Race Rules:
All players get two shots at each basket
Hitting the basket is 1 point
Aces (staying in the basket) is 3 points
Most points wins
