New owners purchase local Toyota dealership

A longtime local business has a new owner and a new name.

Hudiburg Auto Group recently sold its Toyota dealership to Richard Jones, Ivette Dominguez and Mike Drawe, owners of dealerships in Oklahoma, Colorado and Illinois.

The Midwest City business has been rebranded as Post Oak Toyota. It was named after the native tree that is known for its resistance to fire, drought and decay.

Hudiburg will continue to own its Buick, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, and Subaru dealerships. The company owned the Toyota dealership since 1991.

Jones is the president of the company relocated to Oklahoma from Illinois. He said the ownership group is excited to grow the company in Oklahoma.

“The growth in Oklahoma City over the past decade made this acquisition exciting for us,” said Jones. “Also, the Toyota brand is second to none in customer satisfaction and dealer relations point.”

Jones said they are also honored to carry on the legacy that the Hudiburg family built in the community.

“It’s very rare that you get to buy a store from somebody like David Hudiburg,” Jones said. “He and his family have done a great job over the past 60 years in Oklahoma and the community.”

The new ownership took over Oct. 28. Jones said they have added about $5 million in inventory and about 22 employees, primarily in sales and administration. They also plan to expand the service center in the next year.

Jones said the company will be active in the community, especially with local schools.

“We have large philanthropic goals,” he said. “We’ve already done some things with the Oklahoma City schools and we’ll reach out to the Midwest City and Del City schools. We’re looking forward to being a big part of the community.”

The present owners and employees don’t believe in doing business with ethics or on good faith. Sold a car my daughter was looking to buy because they don’t hold any vehicle or take deposits. We stated that we were coming to buy the car the next day and the sales people and sales manager stated that they understood that to be the case. They sold the car to a walk in customer the the night before and we only found out because we called with some questions. I stated that wasn’t doing business with ethics and the sales manager stated that ethics don’t have anything to do with it!

Yes I had bad dealings myself sold me a 3000 dollar extended warranty which I thought was included. I’ve tried to call to get my money back since I sold the truck but to no avail I feel they run a shady operation

The ads for Post Oak are so obnoxious we’d never buy from them. The yippee-ki-yay Oklahoma you’re ok! is ridiculous and the woman seems to think she’s some kind of cool teen. Treat us like we have some sense here.

I had a fantastic experience buying a car at Post Oak Toyota yesterday. From the sales staff to the management to the finance team…everything was top notch. I was treated with respect and kindness. I will continue to purchase cars from this dealership.
Thank you for the really pleasant car buying experience.

I had never even walked into their business and they sent in paperwork that my husband “initialed” to HOLD the truck as they said. The loan was in my name ONLY and got financed! They told me if I didn’t come sign the papers that it would be a repossession and I told them they were pressuring me to sign the paperwork!! I did ya know what to do and was terrified of what would happen if I didn’t sign but the finance director Chris still handed me the pen to sign, I feel cheated, I feel they took advantage of me, they lied and they swindled me.

Seriously SNAKES IN THE GRASS!!! They fudge numbers and MICHELE G. in finance does not understand the numbers she puts together! I would NOT RECOMMEND Post Oak Toyota to anyone! Also, do not get any warranties!!! Their Mark up is double and then some! I know because they showed me their profit sheet!! YouTube and google all that before buying a car anywhere! You’d be SHOCKED!!!

They are bait-and-switch experts. They don’t honor their own published quotes or even their email quotes. Get everything in writing, especially the detailed specs of any considered purchases. After you sign the paperwork and pay, you’re totally on your own, They seem to be no different than the jerks that ran the previous Hudiberg Toyota. Fowler tends to be much more honest and straightforward.
