Old School Bagel Cafe coming soon

Construction is underway for a new restaurant and dental clinic located near the intersection of SW 15th St. and Mustang Rd, adjacent to the 7 Eleven.

The new property includes 6,300 square feet of retail space. Old School Bagel Cafe will be on the north side and on the south side will be Mustang Dentistry and Braces.

Developers decided on that location because of the booming commercial development and housing in the area.

“It’s really the growth that’s happening in Mustang. You have the turnpike and all the new housing additions. The car counts at that location are really high. Our tenants are super excited about that spot,” said Ashton Gray CEO Denver Green.

Ashton Gray is a real estate development company with a niche in medical office space. They specialize in small shop retail centers that are typically anchored by a medical tenant. They work in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee and typically do about 40 developments a year.

“Two of our long term tenants were very excited about all the growth in Mustang and actually looking for new locations,” said Green.

Ashton Gray is excited about their new project and the modern look of the center.

“It’s a really cool modern elevation. A lot of warm colors that were doing there. You’ve got Old School Bagel on one end and then Mustang Dentistry and Braves on the other. And then we’ve got a 1500 square foot space that is available in the middle,” he said.

Old School Bagel Cafe is a fast-casual concept. Their bagels are water-boiled, then baked fresh every day. The restaurant has about 10 locations around the Oklahoma City metro area.

“They are open for breakfast and lunch. They serve bagels, sandwiches, coffee and a lot of different breakfast items,” said Green.

Groundbreaking for the development began last week.
