The seventh annual Choctaw High School baseball car show fundraiser was the largest to date.
The event attracted classic car owners and enthusiasts to the Choctaw Plaza parking lot, behind AutoZone on NE 23rd Street.
Organizers say the event brought in a record number of cars. Possibly due to a lack of competing events due to COVID-19.
“Last year was our biggest car show ever with 58, and this year we had 88,” said CHS head coach Shane Hawk.
The Yellowjacket baseball program uses funds raised with the car show and other activities throughout the year to support the program will a variety of expenses such as uniforms, travel, and training equipment.
