Election season is approaching for local school board and city council positions.

The Mid-Del School Board will have Office No. 1, a five-year term, up for election. The Crutcho School Board will hold an election for Office No. 2, a three-year term.
Nathan McGuire currently serves the Office No. 1 representative on the Mid-Del School Board. He was appointed to the seat, which includes much of Del City, in October 2019 after David Bibens resigned.

Del City will have two positions up for election. Ward 2, currently held by Pam Finch, and Ward 4, currently held by Kyle Gandy, will be up for election. Both positions are a four-year term.
Finch was elected to the seat in 2017 and Gandy was recently appointed to fill a vacancy on the council.

The Oklahoma County Election Board announced the declaration of candidacy period will take place from Monday, Dec. 7 to Wednesday, Dec. 9. The office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

Primary elections will be held, if needed, Feb. 9 with the general elections set for April 6.

Qualified candidates must file at the Oklahoma County Election Board, 4201 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Oklahoma City.
