Carl Albert wins Harrah swim meet
Harrah and Choctaw round out top three

The Carl Albert swimmers capped the first semester with a pair of wins at Harrah earlier this month.
The boys and girls team dominated the Dec. 8 meet that included swimmers from Harrah, Choctaw, Midwest City and Chickasha.
Carl Albert’s girls racked up big points with a sweep of the three relays. Sydnee Hopgood, Rhiannon Lenz, Molly Woodruff and Madi Soucie won the 200-yard medley relay in 2:13.07. Abbey Snooks, Soucie, Shelbie Price and Makiyah Joseph took the 200 freestyle relay title. And Snooks, Price, Woodruff and Joseph teamed up to win the 400 freestyle title in 4:23.99.
Price was the Lady Titans’ top individual swimmer with a pair of victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Snooks won the individual 200 freestyle and was second in the 100 backstroke. And Soucie chipped in with two second places (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle).
The Titans also swept the boys relays.
Kaleb Putman, Brian Lam, Eli Steele and Max Wolfley started things off with a win in the 200 medley relay in 1:48.56. Putman, Mason Hamilton, Jack Flosi and Wofley won the 200 freestyle relay. And Vance Raymer, Flosi, Dylan Garcia and Lam closed out the meet with a first in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:58.62.
Carl Albert added five individual titles with the majority coming from Lam and Putman.
Putman took first in both the 50 freestyle (23.09) and 100 freestyle (50.22), while Lam won the 200 IM (2:25.72) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.95).
Flosi claimed the team’s other title in the 200 freestyle (2:09.65), while finishing second in the 100 breaststroke. Wolfley added a pair of second places in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
Host Harrah finished second in the boys and girls team standings.
The Lady Panthers won three individual events and placed second in all three relays.
Macie Middendorf won the 100 backstroke (1:08.70) and took second in the 200 IM. Madeline Slama was first in the 100 butterfly (1:25.14) and Randea Bryant won the 500 freestyle (6:28.99).
The Harrah boys finished third in the 200 and 400 freestyle relay and fourth in the 200 medley relay.
Zackary McCord was the team’s top individual performer with a first place finish in the 500 freestyle.
Choctaw’s boys and girls team both came in third place in the team standings.
The boys swam second in the three relays. Kade Ross (100 backstroke) and T.J. Pointon (100 butterfly) both won individual events. Ross also took second in the 200 freestyle.
Matthew Fernandez (200 IM), Kaleb Vaughn (100 freestyle) and Chase Lewis (100 backstroke) each placed second individually for the Yellowjackets.
The Choctaw girls were second in the 200 freestyle relay and third in the 200 medley relay. Jenny Oldham won the girls 200 IM in 2:38.79 and was third in the 100 breaststroke. Hannah Simmons was also a winner with a first-place swim in the 100 breaststroke.
Tessa Hart chipped in with second place in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.
Midwest City had two swimmers compete in the meet. Breeze Johnson had the best showing with a 17th place finish in the 100 freestyle.
