The big day is almost here for high school seniors.

Mid-Del Schools will host commencement ceremonies for its three high schools Saturday at Jim Norick Arena at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

Midwest City High School’s graduation will be first at 10 a.m., followed by Carl Albert High School at 2 p.m. and Del City High School at 6 p.m.

Superintendent Dr. Rick Cobb and school board members Ed Daniel, Silvya Kirk, Jimmie Nolen, Julian “Strippy” Biggers and Le Roy Porter will present the diplomas.

Del City will have the largest graduating class with 286 students. Midwest City will have 271 and Carl Albert has 245. The group does not include students who graduated early or participated in alternative programs.

There will not be a limit on the number of attendees for graduation. Masks will be required. The ceremonies will be live streamed on the District’s YouTube channel www.youtube.com/c/MidDelSchools.

Mid-Del Schools did not hold in-person commencements ceremonies last year due to COVID-19 precautions. The district instead had a virtual graduation for each school.
