A Midwest City man’s body was found Sunday evening inside a vehicle that had flipped over in a creek.

According to authorities, two people spotted the overturned vehicle while fishing in Crutcho Creek near NE 10th St. and Air Depot Blvd.

Midwest City police and firefighters were called to the scene about 8:15 p.m. Crews found a man’s body inside the Jeep. They pulled the vehicle from the creek and later removed the body.

“It appeared the vehicle had left the roadway and ended up in the creek, upside-down, sometime during the last couple of days,” said acting Police Chief Sid Porter. “Please remember the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

The victim has been identified as Tracy Lesley, 47, of Midwest City. Porter said no foul play is expected. The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause of death after their investigation is completed.

The Oklahoma City dive team also assisted in the recovery.
