Community leaders, business executives and fun lovers will gather under the Choctaw Creek Park pavilion June 3 for a long-running Choctaw tradition.
Every year the first Friday in June delivers as Choctaw’s social event of the year when Choctaw Creek Park fills with around 600 guests for the annual Taste of Choctaw dinner at the state’s largest chamber of commerce fundraising auction.
The Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce is set to once again host an evening of fun at the community favorite, June 3.
Tickets are now on sale for this 21+ event. An individual ticket is $75 and a table of eight is $550.
This year’s title sponsor is SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital and there’s still opportunities for additional sponsorships.
For tickets or information contact the chamber at email@example.com.
Each year the chamber gathers local eateries to feature some of their best food and drink options at the state’s largest chamber of commerce auction. In addition to samplings of local cuisine and a live and silent auction there will also be several games and drawings for prizes.
As always, a live and silent auction will feature great items donated from chamber members and community leaders.
Items up for auction range in size from small to grand.
An example of two large items listed this year is a trip for two to Italy and family vacation to a resort in Mexico.
Authentic Flavors of Tuscany Travel Package
“It’s nearly ‘amore’ than you can imagine with this 7 Days/ 6 Nights escape to Tuscany, Italy with accommodations in a cozy one-bedroom apartment. This scenic trip for two includes: 7 days/6 nights accommodations in a one bedroom apartment with one midweek maid service, wine tasting of 3 different Tuscan wines, a cooking show with dinner and wine, as well as viewing the beautiful Tuscan sites.”
The Vidanta Travel Package to Mexico
“Grab your mule and Sister Sara and leave town for 8 Days / 7 Nights for 2 adults and 2 kids (under age 12) to your choice of destination from Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Maya, Acapulco, Los Cabos, or Puerto Peñasco. You get one-way transportation to the hotel, use of resort amenities and fitness center, and booking and concierge services.”
But that’s not all, guests can expect hundreds of great items up for bid in addition to a night of great food, drinks and fun.
The chamber is a non-profit voluntary organization that works to unite the efforts of business and professional people to improve the economy and build a better community.
The proceeds from the annual auction are used to run various programs throughout the year designed to promote existing business members and bring new businesses to the Choctaw, Nicoma Park and Jones area of eastern Oklahoma County.
