Wagner, Hurst lead way for Carl Albert at Titan Invitational

Sophomore Sarah Hobrecht raced to a No. 11 finish in a time of 25:00.19 in the JV division at the Carl Albert Titan Invitational Cross Country meet Saturday. The Titans hosted more than 300 runners from 30 girls teams and 31 boys team and as usual, things ran like clockwork for Coach Bill Case and the Titan staff.

Moore was the winner of the Elite Girls feature race and Mustang’s Broncos won the boys division.

Hobrecht and her mates led the Lady Titans to a sixth place finish in the field of 30.

Joining Hobrecht on the squad were Abigail Nolen in 27:15.14, Serenity Harrison in 27:29.26, Hannah Cole in 28:59.57 and Maribel Galindo in 29:52.24.

Displacers were Adrie Wilson and Kamden Hawkins.

Avery Hurst led the CA varsity at No. 53 in 23.50.59 and was joined by Kaley Plouff in 24:12.30, Sylar Anderson in 24:2 3.27, Lily Ross in 24:42.11, Bailey Gaiski in 24:44.49 and displacers McKenna Bernard and Kabryna Thomas.

There were 193 runners in the Varsity Boys division and Koen Wagner of Carl Albert was No. 47 in 19:08.71. Also running for the Titans were No. 50 Joshua Robinson in19:13.19, No. 69 William Plouff in 19:36.23, No. 77 Carter Reese in 19:48.92 and Kailen Harrison in 20:22.65.

Displacers were Samuel Blough and Lafayette Fletcher.

Alex Johnson led the CA boys JV squad with a No. 57 finish in 21:27, joined by Demetrius Johnson in 21:39.78, Shane McClung in 22:22.11, Joseph Robinson in 23:56.48 and Trey Rhoades in 2432.27.

Displacers were Arden Burke and Neven Hunter-Sellers.
