The Mid-Del Technology Center is hosting a Fall Leadership Retreat on Sept. 30.
The event promises a fun-filled day of learning and networking with lunch and snacks provided. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win door prizes.
This year’s theme is “Challenge Yourself.” Leadership training will be provided by Andrea Pogue and Mark Wilson, who are certified leadership trainers from EQ World.
People of all professions would benefit from the leadership event, said Megan Bain, business development coordinator at MDTC.
“This is open to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the position of manager, a secretary, doctor, retired, or a firefighter. This is for all individuals,” she said.
The leadership retreat will take place at the Mid-Del Technology Center, 1621 Maple Dr., from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Individual tickets are $40 and table sponsorships (6 seats) are $300.
Bain said the MDTC plans to host more leadership training events related to customer service. The school hosted a women’s leadership event earlier this year.
“We’ve had a lot of organizations reach out about supervisor training, customer service training, de-escalation training, and orientation for new hires,” she said. “There is the demand right now because everyone is short on workforce. We want to fill that gap in the community.”
SSM Health is sponsoring the event. The MDTC is also partnering with the Midwest City and Del City Chambers of Commerce as well as the Mid-Del Public School Foundation.
