Man fires shots outside of nursing home

A man fired shots outside of a Midwest City nursing care facility this afternoon, according to police.

The incident occurred just before noon at the Emerald Care Center, 2900 Parklawn Dr., where the man was trying to get his mother.

Midwest City Police Chief Sid Porter said the man became upset with nursing care staff and went to his car and grabbed a gun. The man fired a couple of shots outside of the building and left the scene, police said.

The man pushed an employee on his way out of the building, but no one was injured in the incident, according to police.

Officers are looking for the suspect currently.
