Those looking to arrive at Mustang High School from the south side will encounter an extra problem on that journey for the next few months.

Construction on W. Forster Drive will see the road widened in the future. The project includes drainage and asphalt work, which started on Jan. 3 and is causing a portion of S. Mustang Road to go down to two lanes directly in front of W. Forster Drive.

According to information on the City of Mustang’s website, the project will include widening, adding a turn lane on the east side of Forster onto Mustang Road along with curbing and drainage structures. Weather permitting, the project is expected to last 60 days.

Students wanting to access the parking lot by the high school will have to take W. Perry Drive or W. Juniper Drive and turn onto S. Snyder Drive during the construction.
