Mid-Del runners medal at Moore

Both Midwest City and Carl Albert athletes participated in the annual Ken Hogan Memorial Track and Field Invitational on Friday.

Azalind King of Carl Albert cleared 4-10 to take second place in the high jump and Midwest City’s Dei Douglas was second in the shot put with a throw of 3-3 for the silver medal. Douglass was also fourth in the discus with a throw of 100-2.

Tyson Williamson of Carl Albert was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 45-8 and the Carl Albert boys 400 meter relay team of Noah Darnell, Nevan Hunter-Selders, Christian Oku and Deontra Dukes was fourth with a time of 43.91.

Fifth place finishes were gained by Carl Albert girls 1600 meter relay team of Alissa Brown, Kaylee Davis, Kaitlin Allen, Averyiona Perrey and Tamia Swindell in a time of 4:12.37, Greg Gordon of Midwest City in the 400 (53.04), Khali Grant of Midwest City in the high jump (6-0), Avionna Grigsby of MWC in the 100 (12.82) and two Midwest City relay squads.

Darjuan Davis, Greg Gordon, Josiah Johnson and Jahhim Mahmoud ran a 4.15 in the 400 and the same foursome had a 1:32.21 in the 800 meter relay.

Carl Albert Lady Titans foursome of Mckenna Barnard, Kaley Plouff, Emma Hurst and Taylor Swearingen were sixth in the 3200 relay and the foursome of Alissa Brown, Kaylee Davis, Mariana Willis and Makiyah Robinson were sixth in the 800 relay.
