Carl Albert’s girls soccer team made quick work of Shawnee last week.
The Titans shut out the Wolves 10-0 in a non-district contest March 7 at Gary Rose Stadium.
“We played well and moved the ball tonight,” said coach Quan Tran. “We still have a young team and they’re coming along.”
Three players scored a hat trick in the win. Kayden Murphy, Sarah Hobrecht and Ashlee Davison each scored three goals. Maribel Galindo also scored.
Carl Albert took charge early with nine goals in the first half. Hobrecht scored the 10th goal about 3 ½ minutes into the second half to enact the mercy rule.
Davison had two assists, and Mallory Stone and Murphy each had one.
The boys game was postponed until Friday due to weather on Tuesday night. The Titans beat Shawnee 5-2. Chancy Lester had four goals in the win.
Carl Albert split with Christian Heritage on Thursday night. The girls won 5-0. Murphy scored another hat trick with three goals, and Davison and Hobrecht both had one goal.
The boys dropped a close game with Christian Heritage Academy on Thursday as they lost in penalty kicks.
Carl Albert will be back at home March 23-24 for the Titan Championship.
