Mid-Del Group Home residents and employees stared on the big screen Friday night.
The non-profit organization hosted a special Red Carpet Movie Premier at the Regal Warren Theatre in Midwest City for community members and friends. Mid-Del Group Home residents arrived to find a cheering crowd and red carpet leading them in the door.
Guests got to see a special screening of a Paycom commercial featuring Mid-Del Group Home employees and residents, followed by a showing of the movie Champions, starring Woody Harrelson.
A production crew filmed the commercial at the Mid-Del Group Home workshop and residences last year. The commercial highlights payroll software used by Mid-Del Group Home.
Guests also watched a segment that News 9 produced about the Mid-Del Group Home, as well as a short video from their Rock, Run or Roll event last summer.
Mid-Del Group Home provides housing and work opportunities for adults with disabilities. Residents live in group homes and work at the shop and throughout the community. They partner with Century Martial Arts and Blu School Supplies to assemble products and help cleanup local parks.
The event was sponsored by the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce, HealthCare Express, City of Midwest City, Blu School Supplies, Oklahoma City Riversport, Paycom, Century Martial Arts and Midwest City Rotary Club.
