Mid-Del graduations set for Saturday

Mid-Del Schools will celebrate its high school graduates Saturday with senior commencement ceremonies at Jim Norick Arena – State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

All three high schools will have separate ceremonies. Carl Albert will have the first ceremony at 10 a.m. followed by Del City at 2 p.m. and Midwest City at 6 p.m.

Superintendent Rick Cobb will speak at all three graduations. Members of the board of education will present the students with their diplomas.

Valedictorians from each school will deliver the commencement address. Carl Albert’s commencement address will be given by Maya Joseph, Holly Ford and Hanna Cole. For Del City, Jaylon Wiley, Jayda Massillon and Shane Jordan will deliver the address. And Midwest City’s top valedictorian Brooklyn Danielle Lewis will deliver her school’s commencement address.

The school district has more than 800 seniors this spring. Midwest City has the largest graduating class with 282 students followed by Del City with 274 and Carl Albert with 257.
