Carl Albert soccer players earn all-state honors

Carl Albert’s soccer teams picked up several postseason honors.
Kayden Murphy, Brooklyn Hawkins and Fabian Romero were named to the Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association Class 5A All-State Teams. Chancy Lester was selected as an all-state alternate.
The 5A All-State Game is scheduled for June 9 at Newcastle High School. The girls play at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game at 8 p.m.
Several players were honored in the all-district team. For the girls team, freshman Integra DeHart (goalkeeper), sophomore Kamden Hawkins (midfielder), junior Ashlee Davison (midfielder), junior Lilly Ross (defender). The boys had two all-district honorees in Lester and Romero.
Carl Albert’s boys and girls teams both qualified for the playoffs this season. The girls were third in their district, while the boys finished fourth and earned their first postseason berth since 2014.
