Mayor of Del City is mayor for a day in MWC

Midwest City Mayor Matt Dukes sat back while Del City Mayor Floyd Eason became “mayor for a day.”

Eason won the “mayor for a day” prize at an auction hosted by the Midwest City Rotary Club at their shrimp boil earlier this year. 

As he took the stand at the June 13 Midwest City Council meeting, Eason handed out a photo to each council member and the chamber erupted with laughter. 

 Eason presented a name change for Midwest City. He gave a certificate to Dukes presenting the change from Midwest City to East Del City.
