Del City is hosting its fourth annual Trunk or Treat event from 4 – 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. The event will be held behind the Del City High School’s football field in the back parking lot.
There will be candy, over 15 vendors, food trucks, inflatables, games, prizes, a costume contest, a dance party, a live DJ, and much more. Free photo-ops will also be available.
“This is a great free and safe event for our community that continues to grow each year,” said Assistant to the City Manager, Brittany Parrott.
Anyone can sign up by emailing info@cityofdelcity.org and requesting a spot or the City of Del City website has a form available to request a spot.
For the costume contest, trophies were specially made for the winners of each category. The contest will start at 6 p.m. and the categories include Scariest Costume, Best Overall, Most Creative Costume, Cutest Costume, Funniest Costume, and Best Group Costume.
The dance party for the kids will begin at 7 p.m. Additionally, this will be the first year with a full-size dunk tank featuring city officials from the PD, Fire Department, and Code Enforcement.
“This is a time where the community can come together and nothing else matters except being in that moment,” said Parrott. “Parents getting to show off their kids, kids living their best lives, and City Staff and volunteers coming together to give families a safe and fun Halloween experience.”
