Bombers compete at Moore

MOORE – The Midwest City Bomber track squads kicked off the 2024 season by participating in the mammoth Ken Hogan Invitational Track and Field Meet, a yearly tribute to the late legendary Moore track coach.

The Bombers came away with a handful of medals in two relays with the quartet of Greg Gordan, Darjuna Davis, Josiah Johnson and Dustin Anderson posting a 44.45 in the 400 relay and the Lady

Bomber team of Emarie Jones, Milayla Freeman, Miracle Henderson and Ayana Garcia taking fifth in the 800 meter relay.

Garcia, Henderson, Bailey McDonald and Ja’Nae Fields had a time of 64.09 in the short relay. The other Bomber points were scored by Milayla Freeman with a time of 13.01 in the girls 100.

Other competitors for the Bombers included Michael Villacotra in both hurdles races; Davis, Anderson and Jahhim Mahmood in the 100; Davis, Gordon, Johnson and Mahmood in the 800 relay,

Sarai Rawls in the 800 and 1600; Isaiah Edgmon, Brent Batista and Latrell Butler raced in the 800 meters and Peyton Seber and Isaiah Edgmon in the 1600 meters.

Also, Gordon had a quality time of 52.27 in the 400 and was joined by Romeo Doolittle, Lasean Walker and Gale Young in that race. In the girls 200, four Lady Bombers ran, Kadence Woodberry,

Emarie Jones, Ja’Nae Veales and Bailey McDonald.

Football standout Lasiera Laviolette was featured in the 200 along with Theus McGuire, Johnson, Doolittle and Anderson and the Bombers finished up with the 1600 relay team of Davis, Gordon and Walker for the boys and the girls foursome of Garcia, Henderson, Salazar ad Woodberry.
