Midwest City’s softball team is finding some momentum late in the season.

After dropping several close games, the Lady Bombers picked up a couple of victories last week against Bixby and Classen SAS.

Noreli Brown drove in three runs and struck out 13 batters in a 4-1 win against Bixby on Sept. 24.

Brown went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and triple. The junior gave Midwest City the lead when she hit a two-run triple in the top of the third inning, making it a 3-1 score.

Liv Davis drove in the final run with a groundout in the seventh.

Brown was a force again on Thursday in an 11-0 win over Classen SAS.

She was 4 for 4 at the plate with two doubles and 4 RBIs.

Davis finished with three hits, and Kenee Thompson, Keke Walker, Natalia Wilson and Amari Russell each had two.

Brown was just as dominant in the circle, as she allowed one hit in five innings with 10 strikeouts.

Midwest City wrapped up district play earlier this week against Jenks. They have games scheduled with Western Heights, Del City and Shawnee this week before starting regional the following week.
