Tuttle Fair this weekend

The 2016 Tuttle Fair will begin Friday with Open Division Judging at 1 p.m. Open and 4-H exhibits can be registered Friday morning between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Rabbits and poultry will also need to be in place at 11 a.m. Friday with judging taking place later that day at 4 p.m.

Fair Princess Interviews will be at 5 p.m. Friday with the Little Miss Tuttle Contest beginning at 7 p.m. and Miss Tuttle immediately following. Winners of the pageants will be named after the cake auction Saturday evening, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

For the livestock shows, swine weights will be due 8 p.m. Friday. Goats, sheep and cattle will need to be in place for the livestock show Saturday morning by 7 a.m.

The livestock show will begin with swine at 8 a.m. Saturday. Beef, goat & sheep, and then dairy cattle will follow the swine. A children’s pet show will follow the livestock show, and is estimated to begin around 12:30 p.m.

A horse show will also be held at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the Schrock Park Rodeo Grounds.

Cakes for the Cake Auction must be registered at the elementary cafetorium between noon and 2 p.m. Saturday to be judged at 2:30 p.m. and auctioned off a few hours later at 7:30 p.m. at the Tuttle Football Stadium.

The fair will also feature a parade 6 p.m. Saturday with the Livestock Trophy Presentation being held immediately after.
