A former convenience store near SE 29th St. and Post Rd. is being demolished.

Total Demolition crews started razing the building on Thursday and continued the project on Friday.

According to Midwest City officials, there are no immediate plans for the soon-to-be vacant lot. The property is located near Carl Albert middle and high school and Midwest City’s new Multi-Athletic Complex (MAC).

The property is owned by Midwest City Retail Inc. and Travis Kieu, of Edmond.

The owner has three surrounding lots. The total property is about 2 ½ acres along the intersection of Post and SE 29th.  Three of the parcels are zone commercial and one is residential.

The 1,400-square-foot building was built in 1956, according to county records. The building has been unoccupied for several years.
