A convenient solution for shipping needs for Mustang residents is open and ready for business
inside city limits.

Nicklas Maniord, the owner of Ship It Sooner, got out of active duty in 2018 and went to the
reserves and eventually found his way to the private sector for work.

“(I) knew for a while that I wanted to run my own business, be my own boss in that sense,”
Maniord said. “And I just kind of bided my time.”

That included the possibility of Dunkin’ Donuts and other ideas before eventually landing on
Ship It Sooner.

The business also offers basic document printing.

“This one made sense,” Maniord said. “After a while of just realizing the distance a lot of people
have to go for just basic shipping services, or even faxing or returns and whatnot, It made me
decide this would be a smart choice and a good investment, and it would benefit the
community as well.”

Maniord wants to stay as local as possible in partnerships with the community. He said he went
to other businesses around town to get feedback on the idea of his plans for the business, and
was met with excitement and relief from the interactions he had.

Those businesses can refer customers to Ship It Sooner for services, something Maniord said he
is happy to reciprocate.

“We’re happy to do the same,” Maniord said. “Refer anyone for the Chamber or with any local
businesses. Keep it local. It’s something I appreciate.”

Ship It Sooner also offers professional packing and freight services. Maniord said that includes
palats, furniture and cars.

Maniord thinks the thing that stands Ship It Sooner apart from the Post Office or other carriers
is that the business can pull the rates of any carriers they have and help people compare the
prices between all of them, which is all under one house.

The location space, found at 210 N. Mustang Mall Terr., took a little over two months for the
move in to be completed. The store is official opened, with Maniord saying the Grand Opening
overlapped with the Mustang Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting for the business Oct. 16.

The business will look to employ up to four additional employees in the future, too.
