One person killed in graduation pool party

A 21-year-old was shot and killed at a graduation party Friday evening in Midwest City, according to police.

About 10:20 p.m., police were called to the 3300 block of N. Oak Grove Dr. about shots fired. When officers arrived, they saw several people running down the street and leaving in vehicles.

Officers found a victim lying in a front yard with multiple gun shot wounds to the torso. They performed lifesaving measures until medics arrived and transported him to OU Medical Center.

Police learned that there was an open invitation pool party for high school graduates in the area and there were upwards of 100 people at this party. Residents in the neighborhood were contacted and questioned by detectives and investigators.

The victim, identified as Ethan Buycks, of Oklahoma City, died upon arrival at OU Medical Center.
