Carl Albert’s volleyball team had a successful early season road trip.
The Lady Titans won the silver division at the Coweta Tournament on Saturday.
Carl Albert went 3-2 in the tournament and beat Tahlequah 25-15, 25-17 in the silver finals.
Senior Eden Schroeder was named to the all-tournament team.
“They played the best I’ve ever seen them play,” said Carl Albert coach Tabitha McCray. “They had drive and determination. They communicated very well and executed. And they played as a team and not as individuals.”
On Friday, the Lady Titans went 1-2 in pool play. After beating Glenpool (25-22, 25-19) in the opener, they dropped the next two against Lawton MacArthur (25-22, 25-22) and Victory Christian (25-12, 25-11).
They returned Saturday to win both games of the bracket play, sweeping Glenpool (25-23, 25-17) and Tahlequah.
Carl Albert opened the season at home against OCS on Aug. 13. They bounced back to win the third set but fell 3-1 (14-25, 11-25, 25-17, 17-25).
They will play at Putnam City on Thursday and host the Carl Albert Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
