Tuttle Baseball on 12-game win streak

Tuttle senior Easton Green reads a hop before firing a throw to home plate for an out Friday, March 21 in a 7-5 win over Collinsville.
The Tuttle Tigers are on a 12-game win streak as of press time Tuesday, sitting at 15-2 on the season.
At the I-40 Classic, Tuttle beat Okarche last Thursday 4-3. They won two games the next day, beating Weatherford and Woodward, 6-2 and 11-0.
The Tigers have kept the wins coming, even when they weren’t playing their best.
“I think we’re playing fairly decent baseball at times,” Tuttle Head Baseball Coach Breck Draper said Monday. “We’ve been up and down, but found ways to win games. I guess that’s what it is about. You can play well some days, or you can play not well some days, but you have to find ways to win ball games, and that’s kind of what we’re going to keep trying to put together.
“Okarche is a good ball club. They’re a state semifinals team in a smaller class and they threw their better guy against us, and kind of kept us off balance a little bit. He did a good job pitching, but we had some good offensive approaches at times. The n we went part of the game struggling a little bit offensively, but again, just finding ways to win the ball game.”

Tuttle catcher Tyson Kennedy tags a runner out at home plate Friday, March 21 in a 7-5 win over Collinsville.
The Tigers had Heritage Hall on the road Monday and back in Tuttle on Tuesday.
Draper said early Monday before the district matchup with Heritage, “They’ve got a good group. These are two playoff games for us Monday, Tuesday, so we just have to do what we do and try to find two wins over the next two days. These are a couple of the ones you have circled on the schedule that you have to go win. It starts with today, just getting a good outing from the guys on the mound for the next two days, and going and executing the game plan against their pitchers.”
Tuttle won 4-1 Monday.
The Tigers are scheduled to play Thursday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at Elk City in a double header.
They are also scheduled to play Chickasha twice this next week, once at Chickasha on Monday, April 7 and the Tigers will host Tuesday, April 8. Both games are scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
