Bombers take second at Watonga meet

Trenten OzVath and Tyler Mueller had top 10 finishes to pace the Midwest City Bombers cross country to a runner-up finish in the Watonga Invitational last Saturday. The Bombers finished with 78 points while champion Weatherford had 54.

OzVath covered the 4K course in 14.22 to finish in fourth place while Mueller was right behind in sixth place with a time of 14.27.

Marcus Simmons had a strong finish to capture the No. 15 slot with a time of 14.54. Brady Sullivan had a time of 15.23 for 25th and Ethan Fogarty had a time of 15.37 to finish in the No. 28 slot.

The Bomber displacers were Alex Farrell and Michael Mitchell.

Jewels Martinez led the Lady Bombers squad with a 20th place finish. The senior finished the 2500 meter course in 11:40. Katie Kettler was 29th in 11:32 followed by Jalyn Long (13:08) and Heidi Goff (14:58).
