Good Dogma, a local non-profit, is giving away free pet ID tags to Midwest City area residents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23 at Red Rock Self Storage, 9013 E. Reno.

“It’s an unfortunate fact: one in three pets will become lost in their lifetime,” said Katie Hawk, President of Good Dogma. “Without proper identification, 90% of lost pets never make it back home. On top of all that, our local animal shelter is over capacity and lacking room for lost pets.”

Residents can receive up to three free pet ID tags per household and must show proof of residence in Midwest City, Spencer, Nicoma Park, Choctaw, Jones or Harrah.

The Underdogs Rescue, a local non-profit, will also be present at the event hosting a bake sale and accepting pet food/supplies donations to benefit their efforts to help pets in need in our community.
