The Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2025 Legislative Lunch at Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center, Sept. 25.
A panel of speakers included State Senator Brenda Stanley, State Senator Nikki Nice, State Representative Robert Manger, State Representative John George, Oklahoma County District 1’s Chief Deputy Commissioner John Pettis Jr., and central Oklahoma field representative for Senator James Lankford’s office, Estela Hernandez.
The panel weighed in on issues like recent changes in Oklahoma education and a path forward for public schools, creating more opportunities for small business growth, strengthening collaboration across eastern Oklahoma County communities, and working with Tinker Air Force Base, the state’s largest single-site employer, and supporting military families and veterans.
Jason Constable, of AT&T, served as emcee for the luncheon.

Eastern Oklahoma County city officials and school district representation were among those local community and business leaders in attendance.
“Thank you to everyone who attended our 2025 Legislative Luncheon. It was such an inspiration to see a room full of committed leaders and citizens from Jones, Choctaw, Nicoma Park, and Luther,” noted chamber CEO Brandi Buys. “To our elected officials: Thank you for sharing your time with us today. We are appreciative for your dedication as you work to better all of our communities.”
The event was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, and lunch was provided to those in attendance.
“I left encouraged by the commitment of so many leaders working to help our community thrive. They all encouraged members of the community to reach out anytime with questions and suggestions. Grateful for their dedication to Choctaw and the surrounding areas,” noted mayor of Choctaw Chad Allcox.
