Carl Albert’s boys had little trouble with competition last week at regionals.

The Titans wrapped up a regional crown Saturday evening with a 72-49 win over rival Guthrie at Carl Albert High School.

Jordan England led the team with 19 points, Quincy Hopkins had 16 and Ryan Reynolds pitched in with 10. The team had nine players score in the game.

Carl Albert went up by double digits in the first quarter and took a 41-17 halftime lead. Guthrie won the fourth quarter but couldn’t close the gap.

It was the same story Friday night in the regional opener against Duncan. The Titans went up early and cruised to an 84-30 victory.

England led the way with 17 points followed by Casey Baker with 12 and Hutch Russell with 10.

Carl Albert advances to the Area finals against Southeast. The game is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Edmond North. The winner advances to state, and the loser will face Mount St. Mary or Noble in the area consolation finals on Saturday.
