A pair of local high school basketball players have been named to the Oklahoma Girls Coaches Association All-State Team.
Carl Albert’s Ariana Diaz and Midwest City’s Mya Brown were named to the OGCA Large West squad. Kamryn Sutton was named an alternate for the Large West squad.
Diaz and Sutton helped the Lady Titans reach the Class 5A state semifinals for the first time since 2014. It was the team’s third straight trip to state.
Brown led the Lady Bombers to a regional title and area champion final this year. The Lady Bombers advanced to state in 2021 and 2022 but came up short against Norman North in the area consolation finals.
The OGBCA All-State Games are scheduled for June 3 at Mustang High School. The middle school all-state game is at 1 p.m., followed by the small school game at 2 p.m. and large school game at 3:30 p.m.
