Eagles take third at Carl Albert Titan Invitational

The Del City Eagles captured gold in both the 800 and 1600 relays and wrapped up third place behind Choctaw and Elgin in the 51st annual Titan Invitational Track Meet at Carl Albert on Friday.

The host Titans were fifth in the 16-team field.

The Eagle foursome of Carnell Neal, Kanijal Thomas, Jessiah Burris and Braylon Adamah ran a 1:30.33 to win the 800 meter relay and the Del City boys also won the 1600 meter relay in 3:26.59 with a team of Thomas, Burris, Neal and Kelin Kearney.

The Eagles’ JoQuan Howard won a silver medal in the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.57.

Carl Albert was third in the 1600 relay with a team of Noah Darnell, Casey Baker, Tryston Haynes and Caden Goudeau posting a time of 3:28.78 for their medals.

Neal, Burris, Thomas and Adamah joined forces to run a 43.09 and claim the silver medals in the 400 relay for DC.

Carl Albert got silver medals from Tyson Williamson for his shot put of 49-5 and Darnell who was second in the 400 with a time of 51.68.

The Titans also got points from Koen Wagner who cleared 10-6 in the pole vault, Caden Goudeau who got fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:05.67.

Ari Diaz brought home two silver medals in the hurdles, taking second in the 100s in a time of 16.96 and skimmed over the 300s in a time of 48.08 for another silver medal.

Kylie Reeser was second for CA in the shot put with a throw of 35-1 and she was also fourth in the discus with a distance of 106.5. McKenna Barnard placed fourth in the 3200 run with a time of 13:21.64.

Del City’s DeRaya Carter placed fourth in the 300 hurdles in a time of 49.77.
