Midwest City falls to Putnam City in defensive battle

Midwest City’s volleyball team dropped a close match against Putnam City last week.
The Lady Bombers fell 3-1 (24-26, 23-25, 26-24, 15-25) at JE Sutton Fieldhouse on Sept. 14.
Trinnati Allen led the team with 10 kills and Misell Wagner had a big night with seven kills.
Laila Stewart had 38 kills and five aces. Tori Sanchez finished with 23 digs. Mari Morris had five aces.
“It was a great defensive game. Tori Sanchez and Laila Stewart were great in the back row,” said coach Mattie Dix.
Midwest City traveled to Blanchard on Tuesday night and will host Enid on Thursday.
