Midwest City Neighborhood Coordinator, Barbara Kelton, was pleased with the response for the National Night Out. A total of 21 of the 35 Neighborhood Associations held the National Night Out with picnics, bar-b-ques and in general a celebration with getting to know their neighbors.
The neighborhoods participating were as follows: Original Mile, Holoway Park, Country Estates, Wonga, Homeland Estates, Rail Road. Spur, Rhapsody Heights, Orchard, Holman West/East, North Oaks, Stone Creek, Omni, E. Robin Rd, Ridgecrest, Meadowood, Rolling Meadows, Oakwood East, Bradford Parke, Sundance, Timber Ridge Pnt, Turtlewood and Frolic Village.
Many people grilled out and had all kinds of deserts with cookies the favorite.
Thanks to the SSM Hospital, Ridgecrest was able to furnish pony rides at their event at the Pony Farm in Ridgecrest Heights.
Mayor Matt Dukes tried to make all the neighborhoods for a special thanks to everyone participating.
