Carl Albert pair named to all-state team

Carl Albert seniors Ausha Moore and Kaylee Davis earned all-state honors.

The pair were selected for the Class 5A All-State Team last week by the Oklahoma High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association All-State Team.

Moore hit .512 and led the team in most offensive categories including doubles (12), home runs (5), RBIs (37), runs (45) and walks (23). Davis hit .447 and led the Lady Titans with 46 hits and 28 stolen bases.

The All-State Softball Games are scheduled for June 8 at Oklahoma Christian University.

Moore, Davis and fellow senior Shelby Rusche were selected to the all-region team.

Rusche hit .392 with seven doubles and 33 RBIs.

The senior trio led the Lady Titans to another district title and trip the 5A state tournament.

Midwest City’s Karissa Payne was also named to the all-region team.
