The Midwest City Beacon is asking readers to help those less fortunate this holiday season by donating to our ninth annual Holiday Food Drive.

During the next few weeks, the newspaper staff will be collecting non-perishable food donations to benefit the Mid-Del Food Pantry.

Donations will be accepted at the Midwest City Beacon office,1500 S. Midwest Blvd., Ste. 202 (Second floor of BOK building on the northeast corner of Midwest and SE 15th) and FNB Community Bank locations in eastern Oklahoma County (2911 S. Air Depot Blvd., 1213 S. Douglas Blvd., 4330 SE 29th St. in Del City, 15801 NE 23rd St. in Choctaw, and 2094 SE 29th St. in Harrah).

The newspaper and bank offices are open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This is the third year that FNB Community Bank has partnered with the newspaper on the project. Donations
will be accepted until noon on Friday, Dec. 15.

Newspaper employees will then deliver the food to the pantry in time for the holidays.

Last year, the holiday food drive collected 387 pounds of food.
