Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce hosts auction

Friday the Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual fundraising auction.
Hundreds gathered in Choctaw Creek Park June 7 continuing a long-running tradition of gathering local eateries to feature some of their best food and drink options at what has long been known
as the community’s social event of the year.
In addition to sampling local cuisine, guests purchased some great items through live and silent auction.
This year’s title sponsor was OG&E.
Premium sponsors were Bobby Lewis State Farm, Choctaw Liquor Depot, BOLDT, Oklahoma Natural Gas and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital.
Corporate sponsors included Acts 29 Roofing, Asa Smith Funeral Services, Bancfirst, EOC Technology Center, FNB Community Bank, Tinker Federal Credit Union, and Waste Connections of Oklahoma.
Supporters receiving thanks included AT&T Communications, City of Choctaw, Jeneyco Overhead Door, JSL of Midwest City, Twice the Ice, and Tyler Pest Solutions.
Vendors offering Choctaw a taste of local eats and drinks included Altitude 1291, CJ’s Kitchen, Guero’s Burrito Kitchen, My BBQ & Grill, Red Raspberry Tea Room, The Surf Bar, Simple Simon’s Pizza, Pelican’s Restaurant, Spike’s Spiked To Go, McAlister’s Deli, HeavenLee BBQ and the Lumber Shack.
The chamber is a non-profit voluntary organization that works to unite the efforts of business and professional people to improve the economy and build a better community.
The proceeds from the annual auction are used to run various programs throughout the year designed to promote existing business members and bring new businesses to the Choctaw, Nicoma Park and Jones area of eastern Oklahoma County.
