Wagner leads Titans at Choctaw meet

Koen Wagner posted a 17:52.18, good for sixth place, as the Carl Albert Titans finished fifth in the annal Jacket Run at Choctaw High School on Friday. The Lady Titans finished in third place with Elizabeth Harmon taking 5 th with a time of 21.35.19.
All three Mid-Del teams were in the field of the JV Division.
Joining Wagner with the Titans were Catch Manley in 19:01.71, Jad Muiz in 19:24.58, Jesse Blough in 19:43.47 and Riley McMahon in 19:54.74. Displacers were Jaeden Thompson and Joseph Robinson
With Harmon were Piper Mitchell, No. 8 in 22:20.70, Sarah Hobrecht in 23:54.51, Grace West in 23:56.00 and Nicole Collins in 24:49.15 with displacers Layla Straka and Ella Pritchard.
Kiaunna Shaw was runnerup for CA in the JV division with a time of 23.39.60.
She was joined on the third place team by Emma Pritchard, Samantha Clouse, Kaitlyn Allen and Gianna Weatherspoon with displacers Brianna Galindo and Ashlyn Belt. Jaxon Richey topped the Titan JV boys with a time of 20:18.23. Other members of the fourth place Titan team were Toby Phillips, Braxton Davis, Ira Bell, Ethan Luong and displacers Killian and Jawan Smith.
BOTH DEL CITY Eagles cross country teams came away with runnerup trophies at the annal Savage Cross Country Meet at Tecumseh High School on Tuesday.
The host Lady Savages won the girls championship but the Lady Eagles placed four in the top 10 to claim second place.
The top 30 finishers were awarded medals,which included all 7 members of the DC squad.
Leading the way was junior Niya Sanchez Cutliff, who took third place with a time of 17:43.93 for the two-mile course followed in fourth position by senior Deraya Collier whose time was 17:45.52.
Junior JayLiah Jones was No. 9 in 19:42.61 and Lihanna Stotts rounded out the top 10 with a time of 20:22.55. Danica Puckett, a junior was No. 11 in 20:34.66.
Displacers Autumn Orellanes was No. 15 and another freshman LaQuuaveonna Sanchez-Cutliff was No. 19.
Harper Stone of Tecumseh was the winner with a gold medal time of 16:06.99.
EAGLE BOYS were also runnerup with Shawnee taking the championship. The entire Eagle team finished in the top 20 with junior Patrick Counts taking the top spot with a No.6 finish in a time of 21:06.20 for the three miles.
Junior William Butler was No. 9 in 21:07.05 followed closely by Kyree Tucker in the No. 10 spot with a time of 21:30.89. Right behind Tucker in the No. 11 position was
Senior Kelin Kearney with a time of 21:47.90.
No. 14 sophomore Victor Marzett came across the finish line in 22:33.71.
Displacers Kazaun Moore at No.. 15 and Nathan Green No. 20 rounded out the Eagles’ scoring.
Also competing for Del City were Shakinah Marshall/Thomas, Dominic Moio and Jonah Sparks.
MIDWEST CITY runners Genesis Drake and Isaiah Edgman led the Lady Bombers at the Choctaw meet/ Drake’s time was 31:53.28. Also running were Marielnoel Chwifekam, Kamyla Benson, Emarie Jones and Joyanna Salazar with displacers Mileaha Freemen and Talyana Jones. Edgmon had a time of 24:33.35 for the Bombers, along with Amir Braddick, Solomon Pugh, Andrew Lyday, Ezekiel Allen and displacers Latrell Butler and Romeo Doolittle.
