Choctaw, CA run at OSU

Both Choctaw and Carl Albert boys and girls cross country teams participated in the mammoth 2024 Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater Saturday. There were 447 runners in the high school boys division and 345 in the girls competition.

Meanwhile, the Lady Jackets No. 1 runner Bayley Tapley journeyed to Fayetteville, AR to compete in the five-state Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival at the University of Arkansas.

There were 593 runners in the Elite Class in which Bailey participated and the Choctaw ace posted a time of 19:04.4, good for No. 38 in the field.

Jackson Greenway of Choctaw was the top EastOC participant at OSU as the Yellowjacket ace finished in the No. 59 slot with a time of 17:19.9 and teammate Cayden Boggs was No. 83 with a time of 17:36.6.

Also running for the Jackets were Eli Spradlin in 18:40.4, Demetrius Robinson in 19:08.3 and Carter Mathis in 19:37.1
Displacers for the Jackets were Brendan Sorrels and Wyat Crom.

EMERY TAYLOR was No. 86 for the Choctaw girls in a time of 21:47.7 and joined by Emma Strong in 22:17.1, Skylynn Lawyer in 23:26.2, Allie Ginn in 23:30.1 and Layla King in 25:07.2.

Displacers were Hannah Ritter, Caitlyn Mathis and Amanda Mallory

CARL ALBERT: Koen Wagner and Piper Mitchell topped the Titan squad in the competition.

Wagner finished the 5K course in 18:04.06 and was joined on the Titan squad by Catch Manning in 18:07.02, Jesse Blough in 19:03.08, Jaiden Thompson in 19:32.2 and Jad Maiz in 19:14.6.
Riley McMahon and Joe Robinson were the CA displacers.

Mitchell raced to the No. 79 spot with a time of 21:37.0 in the race and was joined on the CA team by Elizabeth Harmon in 22:58.1, Sarah Hobrecht in 23:21.6, Kiaunna Shaw in 24.22.7 and Grace West in 25:17. 9.

Also competing for the Lady Titans were Ella Pritchard, Nicole Collins and Sofia Simonini.
