Titans, Wagner claim gold

OKLAHOMA CITY – Koen Wagner took first place in the 5K race and joined his Titan teammates on the Carl Albert meet championship team at the annual Heritage Hall Cross Country Invitational Thursday in a final tune-up for next week’s OSSAA Regional Qualifying Meets.

Wagner took the gold medal first place in the 5A-6A Division with a time of 17:24.28 in a stirring dual with Phoenix McClain of Putnam City North who logged a time of 17:38.32, a step ahead of Carlos Lara of Capitol Hill who was third in 17:40.08.

Joining Wagner in the winners’ circle were No. 4 Catch Manley in 17:44.63, No. 6 Jesse Blough in 17:58.36, No. 10 Jad Maiz in 18:41.36 and Jaeden Thompson in 18:44.12, good for the No. 12 slot.

Displacers were No. 14 Joseph Robinson in18:51.09 and No. 15 Riley McMahon in 18:53.34.

Also competing for the Titans were Samuel Blough, Braxton Davis, Solomon Bowen, Toby Phillips, Connor Schwartz, Landon Velasco, Ethian Luong, Ira Bell,, Jaxon Richey, Jawan Smith, Jose EsparzaLopez and Garrett Wright.
