The Carl Albert girls basketball team had a tough test last week with back-to-back road games at Lawton MacArthur and Elgin.
And they passed with flying colors.
The Lady Titans (12-1, 6-0) won both games by double digits to stay unbeaten in District 5A-1. They remain tied with El Reno (11-0, 6-0) at the top of the standings. The teams will meet in El Reno on Jan. 28.
On Thursday, the Carl Albert girls topped Lawton MacArthur 59-46.
Jordan Richardson led the way with 21 points and Jakary Brown scored 13 points. Meliah Hatchett and Hadyn Harrell both provided solid defense in the win.
They kept the momentum going Friday night with a 72-48 win at Elgin.
Senior Evi Mitchell led the way with 18 points. Richardson and Brown were also in double figures with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Carl Albert played at Southeast on Tuesday and will host the Titan Classic Jan. 23-25. The tournament will feature a round robin schedule. The CAHS girls will play Collinsville at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sand Springs at 6 p.m. Friday, and Putnam City at 4 p.m. Saturday.
