Midwest City’s volleyball team closed out the week with a convincing sweep of Putnam City, winning 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-23).
Senior Misell Wagner led the Lady Bombers with five kills and a block, while freshman middle hitter Paris Powell delivered a strong performance in the middle.
“Our defense and grit that game was amazing to see, and the energy on the court was electric,” head coach Matti Dix said. “The girls came together and beat PCO in three. Our serving game was awesome — Asha Brown closed out the second set with three aces. Serve receive was on point and it was awesome to see them work together as a team.”
Earlier in the week, Midwest City dropped a rivalry matchup against Choctaw, 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-22).
The Lady Bombers also faced Enid earlier in the week and will return home Thursday to host Del City.
