CHS Drama & Stagecraft claims 14th State Championship
Choctaw High School’s Drama & Stagecraft program has claimed their 14th Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Class 6A One Act State Championship with a breathtaking one-act performance of The Crucible.
With an Oct. 24 performance at Putnam City High School, CHS secured the state one-act play title, prestigious State Tech Award and also had four All-State Actors.
Choctaw earned another trip to state Saturday, Oct. 5 when the program captured an unprecedented 16th One Act Regional Championship and also had six All-Star Actors with The Crucible.
The community will have an opportunity to show support of the state’s most awarded program by being in the audience for one of the upcoming public showings.
This award winning one-act cutting of the full-length play THE CRUCIBLE will be presented Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Choctaw High School Performing Arts Center.
Ticket Prices: Adults – $8 and School – Age Students – $5.
Friday Nov. 8 is Dessert Theatre with free dessert after the performance, and Saturday Nov. 9 is Buy One Get One night.
