Best of OKC Metro honors EOC stars

State champion distance ace Tabitha Fox of Jones and Reise Collier, ringleader of the Carl Albert Titans’ four-time State Champion football team, headline a large group of outstanding East Oklahoma County athletes honored at the All-City Prep Best of OKC Metro ceremony Thursday night.
The virtual celebration featured presentations by a galaxy of famous athletes from a variety of sports including hockey great Wayne Gretzke, NBA scoring leader Stephon Curry, Olympic swimming star Michael Phelps, Super Bowl Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City, NFL coaching legend Bill Belichek and tennis legend Venus Williams, among others.
Fox burst onto the track and field scene last year as a freshman as she sailed undefeated through the regular season, capped off with a record-setting OSSAA State Class 3A State Championship.
The Coronavirus Pandemic cut short the 2020 prep track campaign before it really got started, thus curtailing
Fox’s hopes of becoming a four-time state champion.

Collier was the heart and soul of the rugged CA defense that allowed only 85 points in 14 games, many of them against Titan reserves after the contest was decided. Collier averaged 10 tackles per game, had two interceptions and took his turn at tight end on the CA offensive unit.
