Choctaw’s theatre program has claimed their 16th Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Class 6A One Act State Championship with a breathtaking one-act performance of The Women of Lockerbie.

Aubrey Hoag, Mckinley Rowton and Anna Dewey were each selected as All-State Actors.

Choctaw’s one-act cutting secured an unprecedented 18th regional crown and advanced CHS on to OSSAA State One Act Play competition.

Nov. 2 Choctaw High School hosted Putnam City West, Westmoore, Bixby, McAlester, Thomas Edison, Sand Springs, Putnam City, and Southmoore to a championship round of one-act showings.

Once again CHS came out on top extending the program’s prestigious record as the state’s most awarded high school.

This was Choctaw’s fourth straight state title and 16th overall.

Public showings have been scheduled, and the community is invited to show support and see what makes CHS Drama & Stagecraft the GOLD Standard in high school theatre.

Home shows are set for Thursday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the CHS Performing Arts Center.
