Harrah soccer earns Academic State Championship

Harrah High School’s varsity boys’ soccer team has been named the Class 3A Academic State Champions.
The Panthers proved they were putting in work on and off the field this year clinching the highest team GPA average in Class 3A soccer.
Harrah’s Levi Anderson, Brody Beasley and Cody Gentry have been added to the all-state roster.
The Panther trio competee Saturday, June 8 in the east vs. west Class 3A Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association All-State game in Ft. Gibson.
Additionally, Jackson Legrand, Tate Monden and Scott Thomas have been named all-district.
Panther soccer kicked off spring with a sweep of Del City.
Harrah High School opened regular season play with both boys and girls varsity squads taking wins over the visiting Del City Eagles.
Harrah carried that momentum throughout the season as both teams recorded winning records and placed in the top three of district standings.
Competing in District 3A-1, HHS squads were matched up against Atoka, Bristow, Christian Heritage, Crossings Christian, Crooked Oak, Millwood, Pathways and Purcell.
Harrah’s boys would go on to take third in district play behind Crooked Oak and Crossings Christian.
The boys finished 8-5 overall and 5-2 in district action.
The Lady Panthers would also end up in third place of district standings behind Christian Crossings and Bristow.
The girls had an overall record of 9-7 going 6-2 in district play.
Both Harrah teams made playoff appearances this year.
